Mabie Forest is home to one of the world-class 7Stanes mountain biking centres. It is popular amongst cyclists as it has a selection of routes, catering for beginners right through to expert riders. However, there is something for everyone, non cyclists included: great open space to play, picnic and barbecue spots and stunning views that are ideal for wildlife watching.

7Stanes at Mabie has a history of industry. The Romans made charcoal and smelted iron in the forest and forestry has been an important industry for the growth of the area.
